Terms of Service
Last updated 25 July 2026. Effective 25 July 2026.
The short version. These terms cover using this website. They are not the contract for the work itself — that is your written quote and work order, which is where the price, scope and warranty live.
Everything on this site, including the rebate estimator, is information and an estimate. Nothing here is a binding quote or a guarantee that you qualify for a rebate. Sending a form is a request, not a booking, until we confirm it.
1. Who these terms are between
These Terms of Service govern your use of streamlineref.ca, operated by Streamline Refrigeration Inc., trading as Streamline Refrigeration ("we", "us", "our"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
2. What these terms do and do not cover
These terms cover the website: browsing it, using the estimator, and sending an enquiry.
They do not set the terms of any work we do for you. Those are in your written quote and work order, which cover scope, price, payment, warranty, access, permits and scheduling. If anything in your quote or work order conflicts with this page, the quote or work order wins for anything to do with the work itself.
3. Emergencies — please read
This website is not monitored around the clock and is not a way to report an emergency. Forms are answered during business hours, and there is no automated alerting behind them.
- Smell of gas, or a suspected leak: leave the building immediately, do not use switches or phones inside, then call 911 or FortisBC's 24-hour emergency line on 1-800-663-9911.
- Carbon monoxide alarm sounding, or symptoms of CO exposure: get everyone outside into fresh air and call 911.
- No heat in freezing conditions, a burst line, or a refrigeration failure putting stock at risk: phone us on 604-773-5104. Do not rely on a form.
4. The rebate estimator
The heat pump rebate estimator gives an indication only. It is a planning tool, not an application, an approval, or a promise of any amount.
- Figures are based on published CleanBC and BC Hydro program rules that were current as of July 2026. These programs change their amounts, income thresholds and eligibility rules regularly, and they can close entirely.
- Eligibility is decided by the program administrator, not by us and not by this website. We cannot approve, guarantee or expedite a rebate.
- Most programs require pre-registration and an eligibility code before any work begins. Starting work first can disqualify you, and no estimate on this site changes that.
- The energy-saving figures are illustrative projections based on typical homes. Your actual savings depend on your building, your equipment, your usage and future energy prices, and will differ.
Always confirm current eligibility and amounts directly with the program before making a purchasing decision. We are happy to help you check, but the program's answer is the one that counts.
5. Enquiries, quotes and bookings
- Submitting a form is a request. It is not a confirmed booking and it does not create a contract. A booking exists once we have confirmed a time with you, normally by phone.
- Any price shown on this site is indicative. A binding price comes only in a written quote, after we have seen the equipment or discussed the job properly.
- Service availability, response times and pricing vary with your location, the equipment and current demand. Our stated hours and response targets are intentions, not guarantees.
- We may decline work — for example if it is outside our service area, outside our certifications, or unsafe to carry out.
6. Information on this site
We put real effort into keeping this site accurate, and we correct mistakes when we find them. Even so, the content is general information about our services. It is not technical, safety, engineering or financial advice for your specific building, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for an inspection by a qualified technician.
Descriptions of equipment, timelines, savings and rebate programs are typical cases. Yours may differ. Specifications and third-party program details can change without notice to us.
7. Using the site properly
Please do not:
- submit false, misleading or someone else's personal information;
- send automated, bulk or repeated submissions through our forms, or attempt to defeat the anti-spam measures protecting them;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its host or any connected system, or probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
- scrape, copy or republish the content, other than normal browsing and reasonable personal use;
- use the site to distribute malware, or for anything unlawful.
We may block access where we reasonably believe any of the above is happening.
8. Our content
The text, photographs, layout, logo and design of this site belong to us or are used with permission, and are protected by Canadian copyright and trade-mark law. The photographs are of our own crews and completed work.
You may view, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use, and link to the site freely. You may not republish or reuse the content commercially, or present it as your own, without our written permission. Icons are from Tabler Icons and are used under the MIT licence.
9. Links to other sites
We link to third-party sites — for example the CleanBC Better Homes program — because they are useful. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement, and once you leave this site their terms apply, not ours.
10. Availability
We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including the estimator, without notice. Hosting, maintenance and factors outside our control can all cause downtime. If the site is down and you need us, phone 604-773-5104.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by British Columbia law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this website — including any decision made in reliance on the rebate estimator or other general information here.
Two things this clause deliberately does not do:
- It does not limit our liability for the work we actually perform. That is governed by your quote and work order, by our insurance and WorkSafeBC coverage, and by the licensing and safety obligations that apply to a BC contractor. Nothing here reduces those.
- It does not exclude anything that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or rights you have under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or the Sale of Goods Act of British Columbia. If you are a consumer, you keep every statutory right you have.
12. Privacy
How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, and what the site stores in your browser is set out in our Cookies Policy. Both form part of these terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of British Columbia.
If you are a consumer, this does not remove your right to bring a claim in the BC Civil Resolution Tribunal or Small Claims Court where those are available to you.
14. If part of this is unenforceable
If a court finds any clause here unenforceable, that clause is removed and the rest continues to apply.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version in force is the one published when you use the site. If we make a significant change we will say so rather than editing quietly.
