Central air conditioning
Whole-home cooling through your existing ducts, sized properly. An oversized unit costs more and cools worse.
Air conditioning that keeps up in July
Central AC, ductless mini splits and heat pumps, installed and repaired before the next heat wave finds you.
The right cooling for your home
Not every house needs the same system. We tell you which one fits, and which one doesn't.

Ductless mini splits
No ducts, no problem. Quiet wall units that cool the rooms you actually live in, ideal for upstairs bedrooms and suites.
Heat pumps that cool and heat
One system for July and January. The only cooling option that qualifies for CleanBC and BC Hydro rebates.
AC repair & maintenance
Refrigerant leaks, frozen coils, failed capacitors and weak airflow, diagnosed and fixed on all makes and models.
Signs your AC is struggling
Cooling problems get expensive fast once a compressor is involved.
- Blowing air, but it's not cold
- Ice forming on the lines or the indoor coil
- Water pooling around the indoor unit
- The breaker trips every time it starts
- It runs all day and the house never gets there
- A burning or musty smell when cooling starts

What cooling work typically costs

Cooling questions we hear a lot
AC or heat pump, which should I buy?
If your furnace is also nearing the end, a heat pump replaces both jobs and unlocks rebates. If your heating is newer, a straight AC is the cheaper way to cool.
How long does an install take?
Most central AC and single-zone mini split installs are done in a day. Multi-zone systems and heat pump conversions usually run two.
Why is my AC icing up?
Usually low refrigerant or blocked airflow from a dirty filter or coil. Turn it off so the ice melts, and book a visit. Running it frozen can kill the compressor.
Will a mini split be loud?
Indoor units run quieter than a fridge. The outdoor unit is about as loud as light rain, and we place it away from bedroom windows and property lines.
When should I book an install?
Spring. Once the first heat wave hits, install queues stretch to weeks everywhere. Booking early gets better scheduling and calmer pricing.
Does AC need maintenance too?
Yes. Spring maintenance keeps coils clean, checks refrigerant charge and catches failing parts before July. See our maintenance plans.
